David Frum published a piece on the violence the "reckless right" is fomenting. His point is that irresponsible and hysterical jingoists like Beck, Limbaugh and Hannity are using incindiary language and dangerous extremism to build the kind of ratings that attract advertisers-- low information weak minded people that sit in front of their TVs all day-- people with no lives who are open to suggestion, whether about buying a product or working themselves up into racist, murderous passions.

The hyperbolic Nazi comparisons from Rush Limbaugh; and Mark Levin stating that President Obama is “literally at war with the American people”; know nothing and former governor Sarah Palin, and the Senators Grassley, Coburn and Boner claiming that the president was planning “death panels” to euthanize the old and infirm; the endless shrieking that the president is a fascist, a socialist, a Marxist, an illegitimate Kenyan fraud, that he “harbors a deep resentment of America,” that he feels a “deep-seated hatred of white people,” that his government is preparing concentration camps, that it is operating snitch lines, that it is planning to wipe away American liberties”: All this hysterical and provocative, yet easily refutable, talk invites incites, and lays the groundwork for a corporate funded prefabricated justification for violence.

Some conservative commentators are gleefully anticipating just such an outcome.
Fox News’ Glenn Beck sympathetically affirming that white males are being driven into murderous rage by “political correctness.”
Or Beck insanely chuckling as he pretends to poison Nancy Pelosi.

Just yesterday, Sean Hannity openly contemplated violence-- and even stated that if it occurs, the president will have only himself to blame.

Ridiculous and ignorant allegations and fantasy murders may boost the flagging radio industry facing a collapse in advertising revenues-- down 30–40 percent over the past two years, reports NewMajority.com’s Tim Mak.

As revenues dry up, some hosts feel a need to intensify the hate talk, hoping to win a larger audience share . An audience that does not think for itself, and is easily manipulated, and misled.

Color of Change, has fought back against the hate speech on Beck and on Fox News. The ad revenues they were hoping to generate by ginning up racism and bigotry among paranoid seniors and angry low-information, anti-intellectual viewers is instead decreasing as more and more advertisers decline to have their products identified with Beck's divisive Goebbels-like ranting. Soon no one will be buying ad space on Beck's show but shady companies trying to hoodwink feebleminded elderly folks into buying gold.

Remember I listen to and track this stuff down so you do not have to.......

So let's take a look at some of the more recent racially-charged attacks against the President of the United States!

Topping the chart above all others, the real celebrity here has been Rush Limbaugh. He's done this kind of thing before -- remember the "Barack, The Magic Negro" song? But in the days after the Gates arrest, he's managed to become even more openly racist.

"Here you have a black president trying to destroy a white policeman," Limbaugh declared this past Friday. Yesterday, he shared a dream he's had about the dangers to capitalism: "I had a dream that I was a slave building a sphinx in a desert that looked like Obama." And he joked that food-safety advocates will go after all the unhealthy foods people like to eat, the 300lb sack of resentment stated, "one by one -- but they'll have to wait until Obama is out of office to ban Oreos".

Glenn Beck said this yesterday on Fox News: "This president, I think, has exposed himself as a guy, over and over and over again, who has a deep-seated hatred for white people, or the white culture". He then went on to say he did not believe Obama hated white people, because he hires them in his administration......Must have fallen off the wagon!

At their "fair and balanced" website purportedly devoted to "tolerance," and "civil discourse," Fox Nation is suggesting that Obama's health care bill is a back door bill for slavery reparations. And yep, they suggest that white people will die as a result. The short Fox Nation post states: "Still believe in post-racial politics? Read the health care bill. It's affirmative action on steroids, deciding everything from who becomes a doctor to who gets treatment on the basis of skin color. President Obama is on the record as being officially opposed to reparations for slavery. But as with other issues, you have to sift through his eloquent rhetoric and go beyond the teleprompter to get at what he really means.

The original article linked to by Fox Nation is from IBD and concludes with this:

The racial grievance industry under health care reform could be calling the shots in the emergency room, the operating room, the medical room, even medical school. As Terence Jeffrey, editor at large of Human Events puts it, not only our wealth, but also our health will be redistributed.
Fox Nation is a well trafficked site and the article gets featured coverage, so this isn't some throwaway comment on a fringe blog.

Malanie Philips, racist projector extraordinaire at the American Power Blog joins in with her ignorance showing:

During his new crusade of Birtherism, Lou Dobbs suggested on his radio show this past Wednesday, right before the Gates flare-up, that Obama could be an illegal immigrant, tying this into his usual preoccupation. "I'm starting to think we have a document issue," Dobbs said. "You suppose he's un-- no, I won't even use the word 'undocumented,' it wouldn't be right."

Rachel Maddow took him to task for this on her show, and Dobbs called her a liar, and stated that he never has believed the birther myth.......

Racism is very much alive in America, but the fact that we elected Obama by a large majority means that things are changing.

On a related note, Rockstar energy drinks should be on your do not buy list! The major shareholder is Mike Weiner, known to his radio audience as Mike Savage, the anti-gay, andti-Jew, anti-colored idiot who has stated on his show that Autism is just kids screwing off, and if parents would beat them more, there will be fewer cases.....

His son owns the company, and Savage is the principle share holder. Don't make this tool another nickle!

Appearing on a Minnesota radio station Michelle Bachmann, the Republican congresswoman expressed her concern that White House was trying to put in place "re-education camps for young people, where young people have to go and get trained in a philosophy that the government puts forward." Furthering the Obama-as-autocrat theme, Bachmann said the youngsters would "then they have to go to work in some of these politically.

She goes on to say, "It's under the guise of -- quote -- volunteerism. But it's not volunteers at all. It's paying people to do work on behalf of government," said the Minnesota Republican. "I believe that there is a very strong chance that we will see that young people will be put into mandatory service. And the real concerns is that there are provisions for what I would call re-education camps for young people, where young people have to go and get trained in a philosophy that the government puts forward and then they have to go to work in some of these politically correct forums."

It is a testament to the new openness of Americans who, a few short years ago, would have not elected the mentally challenged to such high office.

Glenn Beck, also mentally challenged has compared the Obama administration to Hitler's fascism.
No, I'm not kidding, watch it here:

The fact that nothing he says is based in anything resembling a fact does not deter FOX News from allowing this sad insane clown to invent any story he feels and report it as news..They are so brave.... *sniff*
